Biography


She graduated from Erenköy Girls' High School and Istanbul University's Faculty of Political Sciences. Her first short story book, "Saklı," was published in 1989. Later, she combined this book with another collection of short stories, "Evvelotel," and published it under the title "Evvelotel-Saklı." Her other short story books include "Mağara Arkadaşları," "Aziz Bey Hadisesi," and "Taş-Kâğıt-Makas." Within "Taş-Kâğıt-Makas," there is a short novel titled "Suzan Defter," which she published independently in 2013. The work that gave its name to the book "Aziz Bey Hadisesi" was published independently in 2014. She compiled the other short stories from these two books into a collection titled "Kırmızı Azap." She wrote the screenplay "Havada Bulut," adapted from Sait Faik's stories for TRT in 2002, and the screenplay "72. Koğuş," adapted from Orhan Kemal's novel of the same name, was filmed in 2010. In addition to Ayfer Tunç's novels, she has also written a memoir and essay collection, co-authored an investigative book titled "İkiyüzlü Cinsellik" (1994) with Oya Ayman, and an e-book titled "Harflere Bölünmüş Zaman."
