He graduated from Istanbul Technical University with a degree in Industrial Engineering and completed his master's program in Engineering Management at ITU.

With 26 years of diverse work experience in various positions, Dölek began his career in 1997 as a Research and Development Engineer at Migros Türk T.A.Ş. After eight years of involvement in numerous retail projects, he held the position of category manager for about five years. In 2010, he joined g2m Distribution Marketing and Trade Inc. as a category manager and progressed to the role of Sales Operations Director and a member of the Executive Board.

In 2014, he took a step into consulting as the Senior Country Retail Manager at Accenture Turkey. In 2017, he assumed the position of Retail and Consumer Products Client Development Leader at McKinsey & Company, and finally, in 2019, he held the position of Deputy CEO at LC Waikiki.

Since August 2021, Bülent Dölek has been serving as the General Manager of Yemeksepeti's fast grocery brand, Yemeksepeti Market, and its fast-moving consumer goods marketplace brand, Yemeksepeti Mahalle.
