After graduating from Marmara University Faculty of Medicine in English, between 1996-2000, he received specialization training in the Department of Pediatrics at Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine. He completed his subspecialization training in Pediatric Infectious Diseases between 2002-2004 at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine. After serving at Inonu University and Suleyman Demirel University for five years each, he has been the Head of the Department of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at Acibadem University since 2015.As a member of various non-governmental organizations, he has been involved in numerous nature conservation projects in Turkey. Due to his interest in nature conservation, he has recently focused on studies related to the "Human Microbiome" to draw attention to the positive effects of microorganisms in nature on human health.

He ensured the publication of the first probiotic book in Turkey. He organized the world's first pediatric meetings, "International Symposium of Probiotics Prebiotics in Pediatrics" (IS3P-2012 and 2014). Next year, the 9th World IS3P-2024 congress will be held in Antalya. He currently serves as the Vice President of the "World Pediatric Pro/Prebiotic Association" and the President of "National Pediatric Pro/Prebiotic." He has more than 150 scientific publications in Turkish and foreign languages. He has delivered over 770 presentations on Infection, Pro/Prebiotics, and Vaccination at regional, national, and international meetings. His studies have received more than 2,700 citations, and he has an h-index of 26.
