Biography


After graduating from Marmara University, Department of Economics, he specialized in finance. He obtained his CPA (Certified Public Accountant) and CMA (Certified Management Accountant) certificates in the USA. After 10 years in senior finance positions in the banking and industrial sectors, he became the Finance Director of Diageo's South East Europe region in 1997 and stepped into the spirits sector. In 2002, he joined Allied Domecq Turkey, another spirits company, as General Manager. In 2005, with the acquisition of Allied Domecq by Pernod Ricard, he continued his duty as the General Manager of Pernod Ricard Turkey, the world's number 2 alcoholic beverage company. In 2015, he became the General Manager of MENAT (Middle East North Africa and Turkey) region and in 2023 he became the General Manager of AME (Africa and Middle East) region. He is the first Turkish person to be awarded the title of Master by the Scotland-based "Keepers of The Quaich" association, which brings together people who have dedicated their careers to the development of the Scotch whisky industry. He is currently the founding chairman of the Turkish branch, the 10th branch of the same association in the world. He was awarded the Order of Merite Agricole by the French government.
