Umur Talu attended Galatasaray High School and graduated with a degree in Economics from Boğaziçi University. He initiated his career in journalism at Günaydın newspaper and went on to work for several prominent newspapers. He held various roles, ranging from being a reporter to becoming the editor-in-chief. Additionally, he served as a columnist and the Paris correspondent. Presently, he contributes to T24. His significant contributions to journalism have earned him numerous awards, and he played a pivotal role in the establishment of the ombudsman institution within the Turkish media. Furthermore, he has taught at different universities and authored a series of books and documentaries.
